MY WHY
My name is Angela Elizabeth Baker — Certified Holistic Health Practitioner, Biologist, Herbalist, Lover of Nature & the Cosmos, Educator of the Holistic Sciences, mommy of five, wife, and a force for raising awareness and sparking positive action toward living a harmonious holistic lifestyle, especially for women.

Fun fact: My dream was to become a Forensic Pathologist, you know, the doctor who examines the dead to understand how they died. But God had other plans.

Age 12: The Challenge Begins
From the very first day my cycle began, my body became both my greatest challenge and my teacher. My menses were crippling, consuming my teenage years with bottles of Midol and Advil just to survive each cycle.

Age 17: Crisis Point
I was wheeled out of a senior final exam in a chair, paralyzed by pain. By college, the pain deepened into cysts, hormonal imbalances, kidney dysfunction, anxiety, and depression.

Age 19: The Breaking Point
I was told I might never have children and that the "solution" was a hysterectomy. Even after surgeries for cyst, I felt the medical system still betrayed me. But my story didn't end there.

The God-Sent Turn
Two close friends, Jenny and BJ, introduced me to natural healing. This led me to the late, great Dr. Llaila O. Afrika, who became my teacher and mentor.

The Transformation
Through his tutelage, and through experience, practice, and faith, I learned to heal using plant medicine, detoxification, nutrition, meditation, and energetic/emotional alignment. Within two years, my body was completely free of the illnesses that had once defined me.
